Meet Philippa
I’m Philippa, a mum of three and the founder of Smout’s Cleaning Services.
I started the business to support my family while creating something I could genuinely be proud of.
My background in project management, administration, and running my own business shaped the way Smout’s Cleaning Services operates today, organised, reliable, and people focused.
Helping busy families enjoy their homes again is what motivates me every day.
What's In A Name?
“Smout” is my maiden name, one I used to shy away from as a child, but now wear with pride.
Today, it represents a family of local businesses built on hard work, integrity, and doing things properly.
My brother Jake runs Smout’s Pressure Washing, a successful business known for its high standards and reliability. My other brother Zac runs Smout’s Waste Management, providing a vital service with the same commitment to honesty and care. Together, the three of us work hand in hand, our services naturally complementing one another to better support our customers.
Watching them build trusted businesses within our community inspired me to take the leap into self employment. With their encouragement, advice and support, I started Smout’s Cleaning Services, and a year later I’ve found a career I truly love, a better balance for my family, and a renewed sense of confidence.
Choosing the name Smout’s Cleaning Services was about more than branding. It was about continuing a family legacy of dependable, no nonsense service, built with pride, care, and a genuine respect for our customers.
